One of the first Sling Lane ponies to come in and by far one of the most scared.
Lady was so nervous she would hide at the back of the stable, her head in the corner trying not to be seen, she tried desperately not to look at us, heartbreaking.
We worked with Lady slowly and gently, letting her get accustomed to our company, listen to us chat and she watched us while we worked around the yard. We set her a routine for coming in to be fed so she would know what to expect and that helped her to relax.
Over time she accepted the fuss and enjoyed being brushed. She was a truly gentle pony, she improved so much she was able to be rehomed. A fantastic improvement for her, a chance to be properly treated and loved. Unfortunately the loan home did not work out and Lady was returned. We welcomed her back and it was great to have her pretty self following us around again.
Luckily for Lady after being home for a year, she was offered another loan home to keep other ponies company (all loaned from Penny ha’Penny). Lady quickly became a favourite of the grand children with her soft and inquisitive nature.
Lady lived out her days safe, loved and well looked after in that home.
Thank you S & S for being there for her and letting her know she was loved.
(Lady on arrival unable to look at us, then after her rehabilitation, inquisitive and gentle)
